Little Honda is the red motorbike I started driving again in 2014 with, to my astonishment, a great deal of fear wherever and whenever I drove it. I thought that driving more often would be enough to overcome this fear. It was not. To build up my courage, after each outing, I started embroidering the route covered on a canvas temporarily stretched over a roadmap, to track my progress throughout the year.
Thus, Little Honda became this organically expanding textile pattern which spread over and up to the point of overspilling the canvas over time. This autobiographical piece traces my turns, detours and u-turns, bearing witness to my inner and outer explorations.
