Illumination

Light appears when artists connect with their inspiration and send sparks flying. The proverbial light bulb goes off and leads to an explosion of ideas. This is a luminous manifestation of our connection to the universe.

This project gives form to E.T.’s famous line in the eponymous film: “E.T. phone home”. A physical extension is illuminated to send a signal that might be picked up beyond our visible world and allow us to go home at last.

Just like an extra-terrestrial, momentarily exiled on earth, artists call for aid, and sometimes inspiration answers.
