With love and humour, I have devised some ‘literary jewelry’ inspired by titles of novels I have enjoyed.
The materials I used (mostly paper, but also other organic materials) pay tribute to each book’s title in the form of a hint, wordplay or an allusion. They are assembled by using book-binding techniques in order to respect the book as object.
This work has allowed me to elevate daily banal materials, such as coffee filters for Brown Morning, burned baking paper for Fahrenheit 451 or paper towels for The Human Stain.
Bracelets. Paper, thread. Hand sewn and bound.
